GPS Camera for iOS • Tenjiku Tech
Our Privacy Commitment
We built GPS Camera with privacy as a foundational principle. The App operates entirely locally on your device and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

You retain complete ownership and intellectual property rights over all photographs, videos, and media content you capture using the App.
Introduction
Tenjiku Tech ("we", "our", or "us") built the GPS Camera app (the "App") as a free application. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it on Apple iOS devices. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We believe that what happens on your device should stay on your device. Specifically:
Device Permissions & How Data is Accessed
To deliver core functionality, GPS Camera requires access to specific Apple iOS system hardware features. All data accessed via these permissions remains strictly local on your iPhone or iPad:
📍 Location Data (GPS Coordinates)
Why required: To retrieve real-time latitude, longitude, altitude, and accuracy metrics using Apple's CoreLocation framework.
How it is used: The coordinates are rendered as an aesthetically styled visual watermark overlay on your camera preview and embedded directly into the saved media files as EXIF/XMP metadata. This processing occurs 100% locally on your Apple processor.
📸 Camera Hardware
Why required: To capture high-resolution photos and record video streams using AVFoundation.
How it is used: The live camera feed is displayed exclusively within your viewport. No visual data is ever recorded in the background or uploaded off-device.
🎙️ Microphone
Why required: To capture synchronized audio when recording video captures.
How it is used: Audio recording is active solely when you actively trigger video recording and stops immediately when recording ends.
🖼️ Apple Photo Library
Why required: To save your geotagged photos and videos directly into your native iOS Photos library and display your recent captures in the in-app gallery.
How it is used: The App uses standard Apple PhotoKit APIs to read and write media files created by the App.
Third-Party Services & Advertising
To support ongoing maintenance and remain free on the Apple App Store, GPS Camera may display advertisements served by Google AdMob.
Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-personal or pseudonymized data to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements, including:
- Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), strictly subject to your explicit consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt
- General device characteristics (device model, iOS version, screen resolution)
- Approximate location derived from IP address (not from the App's CoreLocation GPS feed)
- Ad interaction metrics (impressions, clicks)
This data is processed directly by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We do not integrate any other third-party analytics, tracking, or data-harvesting SDKs.
Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
In compliance with Apple's privacy standards, the App will present an App Tracking Transparency permission request before any cross-app advertising tracking can occur. You maintain absolute control:
- If you allow tracking: Advertisements may be tailored to your interests based on activity across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- If you ask app not to track: Google AdMob will serve non-personalized advertisements only. Your IDFA will not be accessed.
You can modify your tracking preferences at any time in iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Data Storage & Security
Because GPS Camera stores all captured media and coordinates locally within standard iOS file formats and your device's Photos library, your security is governed by Apple's robust iOS system protections (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and hardware encryption).
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliant)
The App is general audience software and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the App operates without accounts or external server data transmission, it is inherently compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international child privacy regulations.
Your Controls & Rights
You retain total authority over your data and hardware access at all times:
- Revoke Permissions: Toggle Camera, Microphone, Location, or Photo Library access instantly via iOS Settings → GPS Camera.
- Delete Media: Removing files from your iOS Gallery permanently deletes the visual data and embedded GPS metadata.
- Uninstalling: Deleting the App removes all local preferences and temporary caches.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may periodically update this document to reflect iOS feature enhancements or regulatory changes. Updated versions will be posted here with a revised "Effective Date". Continued use of the App signifies acknowledgment of the updated policy.
